Our Document Data Minimization Pledge
Solon is built to preserve attorney-client privilege. We do not copy, upload, store, or train models on your workspace documents or full document text. Files index and reside solely in local storage on your device. Only precise text fragments required for an immediate AI request are processed over secure, temporary connections.
[01]Local-First File Custody
Attorneys handle highly sensitive client dossiers under strict professional rules of conduct (e.g. ABA Model Rule 1.6). To guarantee total compliance:
- Offline Grounding: All document parsing (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT) and semantic indexing run locally on your device within our sandbox.
- Zero Remote Storage: Verantu Labs does not maintain remote document storage buckets or databases for your local legal files.
- Centralized Path Containment: The desktop app enforces strict path containment and sandbox policies. Solon cannot access directories outside your approved workspaces.
[02]AI Processing & Upstream Subprocessors
When you query the Solon assistant or trigger a drafting workflow:
- API Confidentiality: Queries and extracted context fragments are sent to commercial LLM providers (specifically OpenAI and Anthropic) via private enterprise APIs.
- No Public Model Training: Under our commercial API terms, these upstream subprocessors are strictly prohibited from using our data to train public models.
- Stateless Inference: Prompt payloads are processed in-memory during inference and are not stored permanently by the providers or by Verantu Labs.
[03]Telemetry & Analytics Boundaries
We collect minimal telemetry to ensure application health, billing accuracy, and system performance.

[04]Law Firm & Enterprise Accounts
If you sign up using an email address belonging to your employer, firm, or organisation:
- Firm Administration:Administrators of your firm's enterprise account may have the ability to view billing details, allocate credit allowances, and control or suspend workspace members.
- Local Isolation Maintained: Even within a firm account, your local workspace files remain on your physical hard drive and are not viewable by other firm members unless you explicitly share them via local network paths or collaborative channels.
[05]Privacy Rights & Deletion Choice
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have specific choices regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access & Portability: Request a complete machine-readable copy of your billing transaction logs, account settings, and usage history.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate profile details.
- Right to Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account. Once triggered, we remove your email, authentication references, and credits ledger records from our databases.
